Establish politically and educationally empowered Latino community in the State of Georgia.

Mission:

To create an organized and active network of Latino college/university students in the State of Georgia for the political and educational empowerment of the Latino community.

Objectives:

Goal 1: Latino College/University Student Network

  • Develope a network amongst the Latino students in Georgia's Colleges/Universities
  • Increase student awareness of political movements impacting the Latino community
  • Increase student participation in local efforts to serve and empower the Latino community

Goal 2: Political Empowerment/Voting Rights

  • Increase the percentage of Latinos eligible to vote
  • Increase the percentage of Latinos that vote

Immigration & Naturalization

  • Increase the percentage of Latinos in Georgia that are residents and/or naturalized
  • Serve as a vehicle for immigration and naturalization information in our respective college/university communities

Goal 2: Educational Empowerment Recruitment/Retention

  • Increase the percentage of Latinos that graduate from high school
  • Increase the percentage of Latinos that attend and graduate from college/university
  • Increase the awareness of Latino adolescents of available academic opportunities
  • Serve as a conduit of academic information for Latino community in our respective college/university communities

Academic Environment

  • Increase awareness of Latino identity, achievements and contributions to society in the academy
  • Increase the percentage of Latino faculty at Georgia colleges/universities
